Very weird to grin and give a thumbs up among mourners at a grave site. Even weirder when it's a national political figure doing the thumbs up at a military cemetery that honors sacrifice in service of the nation. And harassing national cemetery workers just for following the legally-mandated rules of their job is a crappy thing to do.

We're well past inappropriate here, to the point of "what's wrong with you?"

Here's how the Earth article looked in 2001 when Wikipedia was a month old, long before Wikipedians realized their fledgling online encyclopedia would be read (and edited!) by astronauts in space. Since then, the Earth article has been edited more than 14,000 times. It's a good day to read it!

"Though it seemed completely automated, [Amazon's] Just Walk Out relied on more than 1,000 people in India watching and labeling videos to ensure accurate checkouts. The cashiers were simply moved off-site, and they watched you as you shopped." #MaxwellZeff https://gizmodo.com/amazon-reportedly-ditches-just-walk-out-grocery-stores-1851381116 ht @vonkarama

"In many ways"? You caveat this, really The answer, Washington Post, should simply be "no."
Trump asked if U.S. was better off in his last year. In many ways, the answer is no. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/24/trump-2020-better-off-covid/
Trump asked if U.S. was better off in his last year. In many ways, the answer is no.

A look at the third week of March 2020 reveals a nation that was plunging into a pandemic, and a leader exhibiting the erratic characteristics that his supporters love and his detractors revile.

Still a lot of "We want this to be an interoperable platform that anyone can build on but not like THAT" going on huh

The post-Twitter thing is happening. Rejoice brothers and sisters!
Second, threads posted by me and a few members of the Threads team will be available on other fediverse platforms like Mastodon starting this week. This test is a small but meaningful step towards making Threads interoperable with other apps using ActivityPub – we’re committed to doing this so that people can find community and engage with the content most relevant to them, no matter what app they use.
