this is NON-STATUTORY GUIDANCE. it is trumped by statutory guidance (e.g. KCSiE, which still specifically mentions discrimination based on gender reassignment in the 2023 update) which is in turn trumped by law (equality act 2010, children's act 1989)
One of the weirder things right-wingers do is point to another culture they're usually extremely racist about and claim they don't have queer people, which "proves" queer identities are a "modern Western liberal degeneracy" that must be purged posthaste.
When, in fact, said culture inevitably has queer people in it. Because queer people are normal and everywhere.
These reactions to a trans woman winning the Miss Netherlands pageant are making it extremely obvious - in case it wasn't obvious enough yet - that the objections to trans women playing women's sports were never about "fairness" but about prejudice. But I repeat myself
