Among their collection are a Buchla Easel (a very analogue beast, which emulations don’t do justice to), a Soviet Polivoks (which feels and sounds flimsier than I expected; its reputation comes mostly from its rarity) an East German Vermona, a number of iconic ones (Minimoog, DX7, Korg M1, Casio CZ-1) and a few interesting new synths like the Korg Modwave.

I didn’t spend as much time at the synth museum as I would have liked, as it was time to catch a train to Dessau 4/

DJ Bunnyhausen, also known as #Xylitol, performed a live set alongside MICROCORPS and ATOM TRUCK. This recording is from her most recent show at @allisjoy on Dean Street, Soho, on July 17, 2025. If you enjoy it, please support her on Bandcamp.

Last night, I saw Heavenly at the Islington Assembly Hall. They played a few old Sarah-era songs (P.U.N.K. Girl, C Is The Heavenly Option, Hearts And Crosses and such), but also a raft of new songs, which (naturally) veered away from the theme of the twists and turns of young single life in the 90s and touched on themes like influencer culture, encroaching techbro fascism and the Stonewall riot. Musically, the new songs have a taut, punchy sleekness about them, like Miki Berenyi or Jarvis Cocker at his leanest and hungriest, in places feinting at disco-funk.

They’re apparently working on a new album at the moment, which should hopefully be out next year.

This is intriguing. A one knob guitar pedal called easy listening.
