Visited this giant with my grandson.
He is climbing on the shoe and wearing a helmet. But that is because I bought a bike seat for him.
The sun is out and after all that rain the flowers are making a rebound.

The mill is to saw wood and it stood there for century’s. The top half got knocked down but restored 25 years ago. So they had a celebration today.

Ever wondered about the multicoloured sheen in insects?
They all use chitin for their armour.
This is a colourless stuff but because of super-small structures, it can play with light and you can sometimes see the colour change at every viewing angle (iridescence).
Here I am trying to catch a bit of the magic.
