I survived the genocide alone, leaving everything & everyone behind. It happened so fast; I couldn't even say a proper goodbye to my family & fiancé.
Words fail me. My heart feels like it will burst from the pain.
This is the first time I've been in a place without my mother or fiancé. I feel completely alone; I just need them by my side. Worst of all, they’re still trapped in that agony. It breaks my heart that they are still suffering. I pray they make it out safely soon.

Consider the slow creeping horror of a spring with no insects. The uncanny unspecified silence of the night. The emptiness and around you the whole ecosystem would be failing from the bottom up... without making a single sound.

You might make it to fall, maybe through the first winter but beyond that? When the soil fails? When most of the birds and river fish are gone?

It would be the end, but how many would notice it had begun?

Winter is brutally cold, and my younger sisters are shivering under thin blankets. Our family struggles every day just to stay warm and safe. Tents are soaked, food is scarce, and every day feels heavier than the last. I am doing my best to protect them, but I cannot do it alone. Winter has hit Gaza hard. Tents are flooding, the cold is brutal, and my family is fighting to survive with almost nothing. I’m trying to help them rent even a small apartment so they can stay warm and safe, but for the last 7 days… not a single donation. Not one person remembered us.
