The problem is people have become so accustomed to seeing social media as a zero sum game, they don’t consider any other option.

Sure, on Big Social, TikTok winning means Instagram loses.

But this is the Fediverse. A win for Friendica is actually a win for Mastodon. And a win for PeerTube is a win for Pixelfed.

The Fediverse isn’t a competition. It’s an act of solidarity.
