Big ‘ol 🖕to the Apple service center that took my brand new less than month old phone that was just sim locked, and sent me back a scuffed phone with a non-functional display and telling me that they won’t repair the device due to “modifications or damage” that was non-existent when I sent it. But hey here’s a diagnostic app they left on the phone.

@haifisch every HVAC person Ive spoken to has always complained about nest and also says it basically never works correctly without the C-wire even though google claims it can

@snazzyq for reference this applies to all variables, you can choose how the variable should be treated or if you want to return a specific property (like the name) instead of the raw object. For example if you get a contact object, and you want to look at the phone number or last name, or you actually want it to be treated as a vCard rather than a Conact.

@snazzyq if you change the return type of your Current Focus variable to Name. You can check against it in your If directly without storing into a text component and assigning to a separate var

So iOS 17 notification haptics now seem to opt for the “synchronized” default for most apps…so telling off hand what kind of notification you got without looking, (iMessage vs anything else) by vibration length, is now a crap shoot, and I can’t seem to change this setting. Whose idea was this???
