Have yet to see comments from friends who work at Meta about how just months ago it was “bad” to allow political talk but now it’s totally okay and bad to censor it.

I could not be more disappointed in all of our Bond Villian Billionaires running our media sites. Cowards, or Evil?

@caseyliss wife and I just trekked to John’s of Bleecker to see if you were right. Will report back.
@marcoarment overcast question. Since the update, if I am doing airplay to a speaker, I get a lot of pauses and hiccups when putting overcast in the background. I open an App (like ivory) and overcast pauses for a moment. Known?
@overcastfm so far, liking the new app. Something I did NOT enjoy was getting on a plane and noticing none of my podcasts had downloaded (they all said “waiting to download”). I’m setup for automatic downloads and it’s set to do this for cellular or WiFi. Hopefully the plane WiFi lets me download.
Underwhelming ipadOS update. And that is an understatement. #WWDC
Always love the 22 hours of battery life claim. Doing what? I have the 14” M1 Max and have never seen greater than 6. Even brand new. Is the 16 that dramatically better? #AppleEvent

"Why can't we just agree to disagree on politics?"

My dude.

- Agree to disagree was called pro-choice. You ended it and shoved authoritarian control of women's bodies down our throats.
- Agree to disagree was called LGBTQ inclusion. You banned it from schools, libraries, bathrooms, sports and the military.
- Agree to disagree was called Black Lives Matter. You mocked it and spat on it and threatened us with violence if we "try that in a small town".
- Agree to disagree was called Democracy. You traitors tried to kill it and install a military coup of your orange god emperor instead.

So no. Apparently, "we" CAN'T agree to disagree. And that's entirely your fault.

Okay, @carnage4life - what’s the secret to using Threads and not losing your mind trying to find your place? It opens always at the top, so there doesn’t seem to be a way to catch up easily. Am I missing something?

Hiring a software engineer in their late 40s:

Pros:
* Understands your stack better than you do after glancing through the repo for five minutes.
* Will rewrite said stack 2x as fast, and half as buggy if you let them.

Cons:
* Gives zero fucks.
* Knows we're not *really* like family here.
* No, seriously, absolutely zero fucks given.

Do not cite the deep magic to me, product manager, I was there when it was written.

I can't figure out why Overcast can't do airplay from my mac. The option is perpetually dimmed. Other apps can, so this has to be a weird bug or feature decision.
