It is the 99% v the 1%

All the propaganda out there is to get all of us in the 99% to fight among each other so we don't unite to defeat the 1%.

I could have guessed this without reading the article.

"Dinosaur Jr. even sent Robert Smith a cassette of the cover, to which Smith responded enthusiastically. 'J Mascis sent me a cassette, and it was so passionate. It was fantastic. I’ve never had such a visceral reaction to a cover version before or since'" -

Pretty much how I felt as a young teen.

Robert Smith's favourite cover of The Cure is perfect

Plenty of artists have taken on the music of The Cure over the years, but Robert Smith has a fondness for one cover of 'Just Like Heaven' in particular.

Ethics training has left military colleges en masse. What little hope there was for restraint of hostility in the military is being removed.

About 1 ago I almost started a PhD program, but first asked if I would be censored with a potential change in administration and the Dean was basically, "not yet." I said no. I later turned down admission for a 2nd master's because of the Dean's research.

Over the course of several months, Pauline Shanks Kaurin concluded that she no longer had the academic freedom necessary for doing her job.

I can't believe Leonard Nimoy's book, I am not Spock, is out of print. I saw an interview with him where he explained the title was misunderstood. He wasn't saying he didn't want to be identified with Spock because he disliked the show, but because he thought Spock was a better man that he thought he could be. I'd like to read it, but I can't afford these used copy prices right now.

#Laufey has a new single, but do not watch the video. It's just the same 5 seconds over and over and over. Gave me a headache. Hurt my eyes. It is not the art that was intended. And yet, it still not has bad as her previous video. I love her music, but ever since she got popular she just sold out. Her music is not as good either, still good, but not as wonderful. She went from brilliant young adult to person trying to look 10 years younger as a sex idol. Lame.
@theynege You're not missing anything. The coast is overrated.
Growing up and in my adult life I have always listened to jazz here and there, but for about 4 years there I was listening to jazz everyday. Mostly hard bop. But for about the past year I haven't been listening to jazz at all, or very rarely. I don't know why. I have a massive jazz library. The spirit just left me. I am certain it will come back.

I have #Roon set to just play "genre" where it just picks broad genre from my music drive and I am hearing music I haven't heard in a very long time. Roon is amazing. From Chuck Berry to Black Flag, and I'm like, okay. I'm rolling with it.
