Learning to write my own narratives and record my experiences in the face of all the ick of the world has been the main lesson of 2018 and I plan to master that even more in 2019.

@rhea_ewing Iāve had one acquaintance make *constant* passive aggressive and gas lighting remarks at me every time I interact with her, ever since I dared to say that āyeah, Baraboo didnāt treat me well when I lived there and Iām not totally surprised this happened.ā
On the other hand, Iām not sure how much more nazi apologist bs I can hear over this photo. Iāve had people tell me itās just a PR problem, they didnāt mean it, baraboo is the most welcoming place (it isnāt), and that really the people who have set us back are these reporters (and people like me) who are making such a fuss.

I am from Baraboo, that town with the viral photo of high school students doing the nazi salute in a prom photo.
