Super tired so just logged in to #FFXIV long enough to do the All Saint's event quest and take approx 175 screenshots. It's so great that you can transform into these characters and then see what their various emotes are, I got really absorbed in capturing Merlwyb among others... along with Anarchae in her mask outfits. It'll take me awhile to go through these. 😅

I am over the moon about an #FFXI raid coming to #FFXIV. The first trash pull better be a wave of blue crabs, I am tellin you what. Can't wait to see the gear sets!

Shadow Lord and Promathia for bosses? You know Shantotto will have something to say about all this.

I hope it leads to bringing back the combo subscription for both games. I've been missing FFXI a lot lately.

@Vrabielley This is totally valid, I start to feel this way every new expansion pack lol. I recommend picking up another job to level on the side so you can take a break to scratch that "need gameplay" itch without way overleveling past your progress on main. 😄

I love Chrono Cross dearly, but the part where you gotta beat all the dragons loses me every time 🙈

I think my unpopular gaming opinion is I do appreciate some degree of linearity, because if I do not know EXACTLY where to go next to progress I probably never will lol

@vny I deleted the post bc I decided I didn't need to yuck anyone's yum 😂 But fully agreed! Thematically they seem very different as well. I find JRPGs tend to center around working together and community, while WRPGs seem to be a little more on the individualistic power fantasy side.

I've read recently that many JRPG developers take offense to the term "JRPG" and feel it's used as a pejorative. I'm sad to hear that—for me it means "this is a game I will like"

@Jaybot We got some mighty morphing emotes a few years ago with this event too so I guess this is a callback to that, but idc about all that. I want more mankinis 😂
