My take on the whole "is air conditionning bad?" debate is that most people downplay its downsides, and a lot of people refuse to consider it as a net positive. It really saves lives and a lot of people don't acknowledge it. I still think we should have norms so people dont cool at 18° though.

@paige I may see 60 ads per 210 posts, but I'm convinced I spend at least 80% less time looking at ads vs posts. I actually read my friend's stories, I dont read most ads.

Still, of course I'd rather pay but I don't think I'm the majority

Never quite liked this phrase. Implies that you can't learn something from people you judge as less smart than you, and it's a weird argument to make.

@res260 Trying it out right now. Proper thread grouping is amazing (can't believe the default client still doesn't have that) but hiding post interactions (boost, favorite, etc.) behind a click is a bit of a bummer.
