Hear me out: why aren’t we just putting the environmental sensors *inside* the camera housings? Why, if I want CO2/PM2.5/Temperature/Humidity/Light/sound levels, must I use a separate sensor net, integration system, and control modules with an entirely different network or wiring? Why can’t we just shove that down the PoE line with TCP/IP instead of some proprietary bullshit?
We need more local sensors for local monitoring. The more plentiful and cheaper they are, the more distributed they’ll become.
