One fountain pen that I've been using lately is the Pilot Explorer, aka Lightive. It doesn't seem to be talked about much. Slimmer, lighter than their Metropolitan, longer & cheaper than their Prera. Cap feels a bit insecure after a lot of use. Same great Pilot nib but only in F & M.

If you're in Chicago, today is the 2nd & final day of CAKE, a Chicago alternative/independent comics show. I believe it's the first one since before the pandemic! Admission is free, it runs until 5 today, and it's right off the Thorndale Red Line station.

2 years ago today, I had my #Stroke. I'm fully recovered, except for a faint bit of paresthesia in one hand's finger tips.

Here's a good page discussing common symptoms of a stroke. In my case, I woke feeling drunk: dizzy, unstable, with double vision and slurred speech. After a few minutes I couldn't move one arm.

If this happens to you, get yourself to an ER ASAP. There's no time to lose. The sooner you're treated the better your recovery chances.
