To put a cherry on top btw, the survey was about "Political view and gathering information about politics."
So... yea. No. Just... no. Not at all. Holy boi.
I mean, in a way hooray for stating that lovely detail. But who would possibly willing to participate, given everything going down over there lately? Seriously?
So, I'm on #prolific, a site where I participate in various surveys for a few bucks. Bit of science in exchange for money, good stuff.
Last night, a survey from the "State university of Florida" popped up - and I screened out right in the consent form and left some feedback about that ONE paragraph.
That was the first time I saw THAT paragraph in a consent form - and there's really NO way I would participate in such a survey, at all, ever.

Two kinds of people exist in this world.

Either you got no clue what this is, or you are old enough and can hear my shirt.

Removing sexual content—from games, education, entertainment, overall discourse—is not about making things non-sexual. It's about making everything sexual implicit in the patriarchy, with no conversations about it so people can't explore their own sexuality in an empowering way and come up with something other than a woman's obligation to be penetrated by a man in a way that could lead to pregnancy.

Silencing open dialogue about sexual diversity and individual desire is very bad news for asexual folks. It's not a coincidence that much of our terminology and formation of a community came after the sexual revolution and when sexual content was more accepted in entertainment than it is now. Free sexual expression shows there are options. For some of us we prefer not to take any of them. If we let sex be removed from public society then we're back to never learning about each other, never knowing that we don't need to do things we don't want to.

Diversity is strength and that's why fascists are hell bent on censoring sex.
