the revolution must include unscented toilet bowl cleaner, because now my whole damn house reeks of wintergreen like icyhot and my eyes are burning a little
@Decay @afgncaap I came here to suggest this guy. he was my dad's teacher once upon a couple decades ago. also recommend his book Understanding Wood for further super detailed tree science reading material

interesting post centered on why it is difficult to get mental health care, or be a provider, as an anti-authoritarian

Fat Lib Ink

WE AIM TO: + INSPIRE and EMPOWER FAT PEOPLE everywhere to help create and engage in the broad LIBERATION movement: for JUSTICE for all, and against all oppression. + TELL the MOVEMENT that FAT PEOPLE are FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE, and that a free & just world includes JUSTICE & LIBERATION for FAT PEOPLE & DISABLED PEOPLE. The EMBODIED WISDOM & POWER of fat & disabled people is vital to our movement. WE GIVE THANKS TO: + DISABILITY JUSTICE: a movement & framework created by queer, disabled people of color, that goes beyond disability rights and insists we understand the tapestry of unjust systems: capitalism, racism, settler colonialism, heteropatriarchy, & mass incarceration that require ableism and body-mind oppression. + FAT LIBERATION: the lesbian feminists of the 70s & 80s who said "fuck you" to diet culture; the "RIOTS NOT DIETS" dykes and queers of the 90s; the Black, Indigenous, POC, Trans, Non-Binary, Superfat & Disabled fat folks who have worked to build a FAT JUSTICE movement that centers the most marginalized; and the radicals who understand that systemic fat oppression is not addressed by "body positivity." + ALL THE LIBERATION MOVEMENTS that make or have made Fat Liberation & Disability Justice possible: BLACK LIBERATION, WOMEN'S LIBERATION, QUEER LIBERATION, TRANS JUSTICE, INDIGENOUS SOVEREIGNTY, DISABILITY RIGHTS, and so many others, NOBODY IS FREE UNTIL EVERYBODY IS FREE. @dogleaf oh hey! another beader on here

@PanicBomb I can see your angle, but I guess it's situational and would depend on in group dynamic. I'm gonna be a lot less up in arms about satire or sarcasm, esp if self-, than if outright. But IMO impact>intent, and there is a gap between edgy-radical and "edgy"-asshole, with a good tolerance variable for personal experience. I hope this place can be better re: listening without the defensiveness

anyway, I gotta sleep now or I'm gonna pass out mid sentence💤 gn

@PanicBomb how do we judge impact and effect, though? I tend to think a lot about that person who sees it, but doesn't or can't say anything. Like splash damage. It makes a place feel unsafe real fast, so people just vacate quietly.
@PanicBomb 100% pack all that shit up and leave it on the bird site, and the fat people hate too. IMO It's one thing to not know, it's across the line to be asked not to do the hurtful things and keep on anyway. I'd prefer to never see that spongebob meme with the mixed-caps text ever again, for good example
