https://www.statesman.com/news/article/nursing-no-longer-professional-degree-21198671.php

The now almost nonexistent Department of Education has determined that NURSES are not professional careers, and thus LOAN availability will be cut in half. Because we don’t need nurses, right? This wasn’t even funded education, this is student loans. Cruelty is the point.

Under the new definition, programs in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, optometry, law, veterinary medicine, osteopathic medicine, podiatry, chiropractic, theology, and clinical psychology are considered professional.

Programs for physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and audiologists are now excluded.

Fucking chiropractors are allowed, but Nurse Practitioners are not? Despite needing at minimum a Masters degree?

They are destroying the country and they are doing it intentionally.

Nursing no longer a professional degree. See changes to student loans

Nursing no longer counts as a professional degree, according to the Department of Education

I was just looking over SIMD FFT code I wrote in 2015 for Bink Audio and Miles Sound System to replace the old, all-scalar implementation we had been using since (presumably) the late 90s. That in …

This piece by ProPublica, about the consistent deceit emanating from the Murdoch family's primary U.S. media outlet, is chapter and verse why that propaganda outlet should ALWAYS be referred to as Fox "News" --

“Riots Raging”: The Misleading Story Fox News Told About Portland Before Trump Sent Troops

After reviewing coverage from the network and hours of social media videos that preceded Trump’s decision, ProPublica found that Fox’s portrayal of “Portland rioters” routinely instigating violence was misleading.

@MisuseCase @brouhaha IMO a cryptocurrency becomes a currency when a meaningful number of people accept salaries denominated in that currency. i.e. you're hired, and you will receive 0.15 bitcoin per month.

NEW: ICE is planning to build a shadow deportation network in Texas. A proposal outlines a 24/7 transport operation run by armed contractors—turning Texas into the logistical backbone of an industrialized deportation machine. My latest @wired.com: www.wired.com/story/ice-is...
Today's "One First" explains why Stephen Miller is wrong that ICE officers have "federal immunity" from prosecution for all actions they take in their official duties, and that anyone attempting to prosecute them is committing a felony. Supremacy Clause immunity is a thing, but it's *not* absolute:

186. When Can States Prosecute Federal Officers?

Stephen Miller claims that ICE officers have "immunity" for anything they do while enforcing immigration law. Even as an argument about *state* criminal prosecutions, that claim is overstated at best.
