Bond yields are climbing higher to welcome Warsh. Warsh very obviously wants to lower interest rates which will increase inflation. The Fed and the federal government have no plan to address our deteriorating living standards other than to print more money to be able to service the debt. This is irresponsible but politically the only tenable choice they have. Deplorable.
The wrong people are in charge. Wealth inequality will get worse, everything will be more expensive.
A failure of the Democratic Party is not pointing the root of our discontent: wealth inequality. Wealth inequality reduces our living standards. So you have a sea of people, unhappy about life. The gop manipulated this uninformed/misinformed crowd and redirected their anger towards immigrants, gays, brown people, trans, etc etc bullshit.
Political power shifted towards social media, and democrats have offered nothing to counter the propaganda machine. And offered no solution to inequality.
This means that we’ll continue seeing the trend of governments electing right-wing autocratic governments because most countries currently have left leaning or moderate ones. Thus, this thesis predicts that the gop will lose because their polices don’t do anything about fixing wealth inequality, in fact they made it worse with their tax cuts for the rich.
The gop either has to rig the elections to win, or to continue fooling people with their propaganda that life sucks because of blah blah
It’s an interesting thesis, because it says that as long as political parties don’t do anything about wealth inequality (wealth tax for example), then incumbent political parties will keep failing to hold onto power(unless incumbent rigs elections). People will keep voting out whoever is in power regardless of political positions, as long as their policies don’t address wealth inequality.
Right and left governments will lose and shift around all over the world.
