Very few people know this, the media was openly partisan from the founding of the republic and everybody was the better for it. It's the current BS 'balance', neutral that is the anomaly. I wish the historians of the early Republic would speak about this more

Mamot - Le Mastodon de La Quadrature du Net
@markgurman Finally! This will be huge! Now Apple devices can be up to date with both, not lagging behind Windows/Android, lots of new features possible, security improvements, can see a few new products possible.
@amerpie Is there a way on Obsidian to get it to save to whatever was 'last used' folder? Thanks

@amerpie Forklift and Pathfinder are better file managers than One Commander IMHO.
Forklift much quicker display of network. drives with tons of files on them.
I cannot function without a two pane file manager, started on DOS with Total Commander (which I use everywhere that is non-Mac).

Curious to try QSpace

@caseynewton Kevin is right (this time) and you should talk about chips & semiconductors all the time. Don was ace.

Last episode did my head in cause I listened to it whilst running and it was settling into running and listening to your commentary for a minute and then you two lunatics would shout out the next item on the list straight into my ears.

@FediTips Everybody should be using phanpy.social. It's the best
@cheeaun Absolutely LOVE PHANPY. You should make all the clients. Or somebody who wants to make a bsky client should just learn everything from you
@tchambers Thank you so much for highlighting phanpy.social. You are 100% right that it is the best 'client'/frontend for a social network ever. It is flawless. It is soo good that I can't wait to build my following list here as well
@stefan Was anybody saying the Fediverse is done? I've not seen that anywhere. There's reasons to use both/each and hope both continue development
@briankrebs Spotify for local news. Just like we need Spotify for substacks.
That but with better pay for the artists (i.e local news and substack writers).
