Being tired of social networks, Fediverse is the first one that I really like. So this is my account to test Mastodon. I don't expect to post much. Sorry!
@troyhunt @rastilin @haveibeenpwned Thank you for kicking me hard enough to read it through until the end - was definitely worth it 🙂

That's exactly what I thought. I didn't have notifications turned on and my old address popped up. It is associated with dozens of passwords. I know there is the password check on haveibeenpwnd, but trying them one by one ... is probably not the best approach. It is on my personal domain so maybe that would reveal the email/pwd pairs or allow me to check specific passwords? Or is the paid API the only way - can anyone confirm?
@kzimmermann @i0null no you're not the onle one - I've been running them for years on an underpowered Orange Pi One with 512 MB RAM 😅 I've since upgraded to Orange Pi PC and have another instance running on a Raspberry Pi 3 - so much RAM and performance now 😂

I'm not sure if this is going to work as my first public post with zero followers but... I have some old RAM modules that may be of use to someone?

DIMM
- kingston KVR400X64C3A/256
- apacer 256MB PC133 ECC
- micron 128MB PC133 ECC

SODIMM
- samsung 1GB PC2-4200
- hynix 512MB PC2-5300 (x2)

Let me know and we'll arrange something. These are located in Slovakia, Europe btw. Posting them anywhere in Europe should be easy and you can buy me a coffee if they work. 🙂

@Mabande @FediTips I was also unable to set this up last year on a blog hosted on a subdomain, e.g. subdomain.maindomain.tld. But I didn't really try to investigate too much, my time was limited. This is a seasonal (winter) regional blog that would likely have zero following on fediverse. I will re-try this December again :-)
@jwildeboer Reducing the maintenance overhead is certainly a very good reason. It all depends on the use case, I currently have 2 RPis and 1 OPi still running but each of them serves a slightly different purpose, and in a different physical location (I also have 3 ESP8266/ESP32 deployed with environment sensors).
@jwildeboer I will probably end up doing a similar upgrade one day as I like these mini PCs, but I have this strange obsession with running stuff on totally low-end HW and love the lower power consumption - I've had a small team mailserver running smooth on an Orange Pi Lite for 7 years, and I have 4 docker containers on another Orange Pi One (both 512 MB RAM) 🙂
