Hello folks. I haven't been on here for a while since the last Twitter bin fire.

What nice place, a breath of fresh air!

It's only been 3 days since I did #TheWeekInTory, but that hasn't stopped them. It hasn't even slowed them down. It's an absolute blizzard of chaos.

(There's a mistake in this - I refer to Johnson's time as Home Secretary, I meant Foreign Secretary)

@RussInCheshire: I did my last #TheWeekInTory at lunchtime on Tuesday. So this is just what’s happened since then. Pick your jaw up, Mabel: there’s nothing surprising about this level of mayhem anymore. (Long thread...…

Mastodon rookie here. I'm getting lots of blurry images in my feed. When I click on them they remain blurry. My data connection is robust. Is there a setting to make them show?

Hey everyone, I've put together a little wiki page that aggregates links on:
• How to Use Mastodon
• Tools for Leaving Twitter
• Lists of People on Twitter by Interest, Recommendation, or Verification
• Data About Mastodon

If you have ideas for what to add, just let me know or edit the wiki yourself (if you can).

A few recommendations for life on Mastodon:

1) Follow anyone you think looks potentially interesting; you can always unfollow later, and they may lead you to new people via boosted posts.

2) Boost posts you think are worthy, so others can discover new content.

3) Don't obsess on replicating your Twitter follows on Mastodon; let it be its own experience, and grow it organically. Obvs follow anyone you miss from Twitter, but this isn't a 1:1 replacement; have fun, follow your instincts.

Just finished submissions in my case. It’s an extraordinary feeling; as if you are mentally unclenching. The sub-conscious part of your brain that has continually brought to the surface of your mind points to worry about and arguments to re-formulate is now still. The adrenalin fades into a scratchy distant headache and the bubble that has separated you from the world sighs apart. #barristers #lawyerlife
