it's me 🤠
artist, crafter, occasional writer, full time doofus

I made a tiny sewing machine! It’s a Christmas present for my grandma, who loves sewing and quilting. The model is roughly 1/6th scale and mostly made of basswood, finished with acrylic paint and various metal bits. I based my design on a real vintage Singer model from the 1920s.

It’s so easy to not buy Twitter. I do it every day.

I see there's chatter about creators being discouraged from posting their shop links and promoting their art for sale etc. on fedi.

Most of the pre-influx userbase of the fediverse chose to come here because they're tired of corporations and capitalism. They are very eager to support indie creators and very receptive to seeing shop links, Patreon/Ko-Fi links, commission sheets, etc.

I encourage our members to share their shop links liberally. People want to support you here. đź’ś

@knitting Good morning! Here's my latest FO--an Xmas present for my sister. This was my first cable knit project. I was a little intimidated at first but it turned out well, I think!

trying to manifest some shitposting momentum so this website will one day have the vibrant shitposting energy Twitter did in its prime
How did “epic bacon” go from a dominant mode of communicating online to a parody of washed 30- and 40-somethings who still talk about their Hogwarts houses? The answer is more complicated than “millennials got old.” https://www.vox.com/the-highlight/23466389/millennials-cringe-epic-bacon
How millennials’ “epic bacon” humor became cringe

Remember when “epic bacon” was the height of comedy?
