Had a phone interview for a job today. It's a help desk manager type thing. Remote.

I asked, "do you use keystroke loggers, screen cappers, and other surveillance technology?"

Confused muttering. Finally from someone on the call, "yes."

Me. "are these always on? I see you don't provide PCs. Are you expecting me to put these things on my own PC? Can they be turned off when I am not on duty?"

Them: always on

Me: "wow"

Them: no one else has asked this question.

Me: YIKES

@lidsville @drvolts The YIMBY solution is up zoning and increasing density along with promoting improvements like mass transit which absolutely is green and sustainable. What you propose creates further housing shortages, rent increases and car centric infrastructure that increases pollution.
