@carnage4life youtube is charging two different prices for premium depending on where you sign up. i suspect this will become more common among developers too. if customers have to start paying 30% more just because they’ve subscribed through apple, they’ll just cut out apple entirely. maybe it was smart for a while, but they should probably consider revising that fee or else they stand to lose a lot more.

@geographile @stux yeah, apollo or baconreader are my favorites for ios and i liked rif on android. the first party app is terrible. how can you make it any more obvious that your users are actually the product than inserting clickbaity ads between every few posts??

@stux i’ve deleted apollo (unfortunately) and will absolutely not be using the reddit app. so essentially, i’m done with reddit (similar to twitter, actually)
