Retired, married male currently living in Austin, Texas. More info will be found in my introductions post.

Having escaped from Twitter, I'm looking forward to a calmer experience and more welcoming environment here.

Notre Dame vs Georgia is one of those games that makes you sad that there has to be a winner.

Despite the rumors, I have not abandoned this account. I'm not promising to revive it, but will need to update some parts as I will be relocating from Austin, TX to Albuquerque, NM in about a week, which will have a decided effect on my biography.
Speaking of noise, for me, anxiety provides most of the static that prevents me from enjoying life at its richest fidelity.

Well, I'm not subtle enough to be a practicioner of embedded messaging, at least not consciously.
Evidently, my real-life utterances have a very low signal-to-noise ratio, with the result that any important messages get lost in the static.
Sometimes I feel like I'm in oblivion's waiting room.
It's one of those times when escape to sleep offers no solace from wakeful distress, just a different flavor of unease. I could use a quick vacation to Catatonia.

Haven't posted for a while. No promises, but I do have three things for today.

1. I'm very happy about the perfect weather for the Capitol 10k race this morning.
2. I'm happy I was in good enough physical and emotional health to participate in the 10k race.
3. I'm grateful to the anonymous older woman who served as an inspiration/challenge with her impressive walking pace; if not for her presence, I would not have done nearly as well as I did.

@CatalyzedTransmogrification Thanks. Hanging in as I can.

You too.

I've avoided facing the mounting challenges to my well-being and existence for so long, they've managed to insert themselves into the few places of refuge that I had carved out for myself to go to hide from them, leaving me no peace and no escape.
