If you are using Twitter to login to any 3rd party service - you should switch to other credential mechanisms, "login with Twitter" might break when Twitter makes it's API paid-only on the 9th of February.
@lig Proton might be worth a shot if I ever swap completely. But since I do prefer Windows just for general usage I'm not sure I'll actually do that. That's still cool, though, I didn't know Proton was a thing. Thanks!
@lig Actually, looking through my Steam library, about half of my library is Linux-incompatible, so double-boot it is. Time to figure out how this works.
@lig Yeah, I'm not sure all the games I play are supported on Linux so I'd have to check that. And for general browsing I just prefer Windows so a double-boot is probably better for me. But I'll look into it.
@lig @[email protected] A couple of my friends have both Linux and Windows as a double-boot kind of thing. I think I'm going to do the same, eventually, and try to move all programming things over to the Linux distro, just haven't had the time to figure it out yet.
@[email protected] I got a MacBook Air a year ago for studies, but it's become my most used computer pretty quickly. My Windows desktop I use for gaming and some more specific programming (e.g. CUDA, incompatible on macOS) but my Mac has become my center of operations, just in general.
Twitter finally sent employees who were laid off in November their separation agreements yesterday. The emails "point[ed] to a URL that was registered this morning from a vendor with a 1 star BBB rating," according to a former employee. The company then had to send a second note: "This email was an official company communication and is not a phishing attempt," it says. Twitter blamed "a court order obtained by plaintiffs' attorneys" for the delay in sending the agreements.

@BeckePhysics

That is incredible! Didn't think such a level of detail was possible from the ground. Your pictures look really detailed and crisp, really an amazing shot.

@BeckePhysics Incredible shot! I wonder if it would be possible, with *incredible* timing, to witness a space walk in action from a perspective such as this?

If youโ€™re at the right place at the right time, with the right equipment, this is possible.

Last night, with guidance from https://transit-finder.com/, I positioned myself along the narrow line where the International #SpaceStation would pass between me and the nearly full moon.

I used a Fujifilm X-T4 shooting 4K video through a Celestron 8โ€ SCT to capture the pass. Then, back at the computer this morning, put together these views with PIPP, Registax, and GIMP.

Quite pleased. My best yet.
