"I should sous vide tonight"

Anova: "We're charging a subscription for the feature you don't use for the thing you use a handful number of times per year. Don't worry, you're an existing user so this will be free for as long as you use your old cooker. But also we're deprecating support for it"

This is why I'm noping out of pretty much everything smart. Which as the super nerd who was first in line for all of this, is a massive mark against the future of all of this 😅

Me: "Make a playlist with Blackbeard's Tea Party, Skipinnish, and Bellowhead"

Music Service: "WTF? Go away"

I've been playing more with swinging mechanics. This is super fun, I feel like I need to add dash and maybe Duck-Tales style dashing.

Normally I use springs for this sort of thing (I did soft body objects in college, and when all you have is a hammer…) so I love just how crisp it is and how satisfying it is to build up momentum.

I didn’t think I’d work on this longer than a day, so I need to spend an episode of True Detective setting up git (this is when I work on it 😅).

The next time you're debating whether your indie game is worth $5 or $10, remember that the copy of Doom for the SNES listed here is nearly $200 in today's dollars.
I'm only, what, 2 years behind every other indie dev being addicted to web swinging mechanics? I’m writing a water renderer next aren’t I?

New game jam idea: a game that's neither parkour nor menu…

I stand by Zork (and other CLI interactive fiction) being neither, but there’s some disagreement. So how much of an argument could be made for/against your game fitting would be part of the judging.

I think I broke the Pinterest algorithm, but I'm kind of ok with that.
The more I dig into analytics, measurement, and research the more I think about this picture

Upgraded flute wall!

No, this doesn't include pennywhistles or pan flutes. I have another board to hang!

TIL: you can just treat Amazon product pages as an LLM chatbot.
