@briankrebs I think this is totally fair. And looking at your profile you haven’t posted there in a year, which I respect - you have a big-ass following over there. Meanwhile the OP here has tweeted or retweeted 13 times today. (Not tagging because I’m not here to fight.) I’d say the scarlet checkmark is deserved, though.
@manton @marcoarment As far as I can tell the setting to turn this off simply doesn’t work. It’s infuriating, but google thinks they own the web.

@stevenf I dunno - FT has always had a paywall. Before that it had an expensive subscription to its weird peachy-salmon-colored newsprint edition. Enshittification != paid.
@halide According to The Verge it was created using pano mode, which makes much more sense. https://www.theverge.com/2023/12/2/23985299/iphone-bridal-photo-three-poses-explanation-panorama-photoshop-generative-ai
‘One in a million’ iPhone bridal photo explanation: blame panorama mode

Tessa Coates’ picture of one moment showing her in three different poses isn’t an iPhone Live Photo glitch or Photoshop; it’s multiple pictures stitched in “pano” mode.

Gaiman: " If you really can't figure out which political party or which politician to vote for, just ask if they're on the side of libraries. Are they voting to fund their libraries? Are they voting to keep them free? Then vote for those guys. They're probably the good guys. And by the same token, the book burners, the book banners, they're probably the bad guys."

“I will always be on the side of the libraries”: A Conversation with Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is a fierce supporter of libraries. The author of American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, The Sandman, Coraline, and so many more has had a lifelong love affair with reading. And he credits librarians for fostering his curiosity about books and learning at a young age. Gaiman spoke with I Love Libraries recently about libraries, comic books, book banning in the U.S., movies, and more.
