I am a Professor of #sociology based in the UK. I am passionate about social justice, fighting inequalities & I love nature.


My books include “Revolting Subjects: Social Abjection & Resitance in Neoliberal British” (2013) and “Stigma: the Machinery of Inequality” (2020).

I am a trustee of UK National Poverty Truth Network.

I am an executive member of Lancaster Black History Group- “fighting racism through education” - leading community based research since 2020.
