Privacy Badger version 2026.2.20 improves tracker blocking in Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.
Before this update, Privacy Badger sometimes failed to block domains that should have been blocked, and blocked domains that should have been ignored. This was caused by a long-known limitation of Google's Manifest V3, recently fixed by an outside contributor. [*]

Today we are introducing Badger Swarm, a new tool for Privacy Badger that runs distributed Badger Sett scans in the cloud. Badger Swarm helps us continue updating and growing Privacy Badger’s tracker knowledge, as well as continue adding new ways of catching trackers. Thanks to continually expanding Badger Swarm-powered training, Privacy Badger comes packed with its largest blocklist yet.
@lorenzoquintavalle @eff Privacy Badger is different: not an ad blocker (does not use ad blocker lists), comes with own special features (widget replacement), made by a non-profit, fights for a better web.

@mossyrua @eff We are working on a version of Privacy Badger for Safari on macOS. It’s not a straightforward port because of bugs and divergences in behavior from Firefox and Chrome.
Unfortunately, Safari for iOS is more challenging to support still. We will look into it after we finish with Safari for macOS.
In the meantime, I suggest installing a reputable "content blocker" for iOS Safari.
