I bought a few of these SCART adapters thinking I could connect my unmodded consoles to my Hydra2 but it doesn’t seem to work. Some further research suggests that I might have misunderstood how this works.
This is the picture I get with it 👎
Is this the best way to connect an Atari 2600 to a TV with a coaxial input? (Without modding)
Got this week off, so it's project time! Last year I built this awesome cabinet for my retro consoles. Now it's time to get them all hooked up and working!
It works!
I had to wait for the MFA2 SoftSP Card to be back in stock at assembly lines, but I’m now able to use the FujiNet I bought at
#VCFEast on my Apple ][e
Back to the workbench for the first time in a while. Finally got the flashing red light on my NES
Underside of the board. I was puzzled by the bridged pins on the cartridge socket (that’s one of the points where the RF shield was soldered on). Doesn’t look like those particular pins go anywhere though.
To my eyes the board doesn’t look too bad. Some corrosion but no loss of continuity in those areas. I doubt that reseating the socketed ICs is going to help much given how hard they were to pull off. They were in there good!
Finally got the RF shield off. Solder wick couldn’t do it. I needed hot air and lots of prying!
Back to the Intellivision and trying to get this soldered-on shield off 😤
