i think what would be nice for windows is that they ditch bundling modern windows with support for older stuff (especially anything before windows 7), and instead let them or the community make support for old apps a separate thing. this is basically a part of why modern windows is bloated, apart for the apps the company gives you. i mean, who needs the old phone dialer app in 2026??

"Oh, it’s 11 PM. *blink* Oh, it’s 7 AM."
"Come on, Wah. You’ve been tossing and turning for 3 and a half hours. How fucking hard is it for you to fall asleep already?!"

if you're using debian (13), you'll see that regardless of the GRUB theme you install, there is a debian background set for the GRUB console.

turns out, you can change that by simply putting an image file in "/boot/grub", then updating grub ("sudo update-grub"). the next time you reboot and open the console or boot into debian, you'll see the image you've put.
if you wanna get rid of the console background entirely, you can use a black 1x1 image, or delete "/etc/grub.d/05_debian_theme".

I completely do not understand religious people. Like, people believe and dedicate their lives to some entity that they have never seen and have no proof exists. In fact, there is a lot of proof things are done NOT by that entity, yet they still choose to believe it. Why? What is the reasoning?? And then they attack others who believe in a different entity or none at all! From an objective standpoint, it’s complete delusion!
