Yes, they are both at Quinta da Regaleira, but they are on different parts of the property, one at the lake and the other is up at the top of the hill. It is a large property with many nice buildings designed and built in the 19th century.
I’ve been in the inverted tower and it is cool, but it is not in the middle of a lake
I’m using reitti, which I believe allows real time location sharing, if you enable it. I’m using the Overland app on iPhone, I think it was the same app on android but I don’t have that phone in front of me at the moment (iPhone is for work).
It makes perfect sense to hire traitors for classified posts given that the people doing the hiring are also traitors who are attempting to destroy the government. Hard to see why this would alarm them at this point.
I think they meant to title this “Why these eight lying scumbags need to be primaried to prevent continuing slide into fascism”
I recommend “Strong”. I have their set top box, but I’m sure they have a stick too. It is just android TV though. Jellyfin works fine. VPN too.
I don’t see why that would help. But if everyone’s empathy increased by 50% of the average amount of empathy, that might help. (Not that it is measurable, but this is obviously fantasy)

Right, the eCall black box is a perfect example of how this other stuff could be implemented, at least according to my layman understanding. There is a set of standardized minimum functionality and a set of optional functionality. All related to telematics control. There could be a requirement that manufacturers use a clear standardized interface for entertainment/comfort and a clear separation between those and critical functions, so that those could be handled by user replaceable software/hardware. Feels like that would be a step up from what we have now, where I’ve been in a modern car (2024 BYD) and connecting androidauto caused the entertainment computer to crash and the dashboard to go blank for about 60 seconds while I was driving down the highway. I can understand including a display buffer to push some entertainment content onto the dashboard, but there should be separation.

Next step after all this would be to ask what parts of this really benefit from being proprietary. Maybe if we had better standards between components we would get better repairability.

This sounds great. How does the device support work? What do you think of GadgetBridge support?
There are lots of different operators who charge their own rates, they just all have to use the same network for payment. And the (only?) good part about it being via app or keyfob or autocharge is that it doesn’t have to use Visa/MasterCard. But it would also be fine by me if they accepted MBWay/SIBS (which is our local payment network) right at the charger.
