Editing videos for PHP TEK 2025, and this slide still has me laughing. For content, this was the start of a father/son talk by @pmeth and Easton Meth
@tjlytle getting things kicked off at #phptek
@ross life changing!!!
@bobmagicii haha, ya. To be fair I'm doing 3 talks. 2 of them are ready and this one I procrastinated because I figured would be easy. After all I'm just talking about my son and my life ;) I was wrong :P
But it's about 75% done, just need to fill in some gaps.
@ross Nice!! Have you ever tried Battlesnakes? I did that for the first time at Cascadia PHP with my son. He did most of the code and we actually won a couple of matches.

I am putting together slides and ideas for a talk at PHPTek in 2 weeks. I want to add some thoughts, opinions and ideas from other people to help round out the talk. So what are your thoughts on the topic of parents and children in tech? Are there resources or techniques you can recommend? Do you want to share any stories; successes, failures, funny, inspiring, whatever?

Last night on the @phparch Podcast, we announced the speaker lineup for PHPTek 2205 (https://phptek.io/speakers). We also revealed we were going to have a father and son combo talk with Peter Meth (@pmeth) and Easton Meth, and if they don't do their talk dressed in hazmat suits ala Breaking Bad, I am stepping down from my role as the sex symbol for the PHP language.
PHP[TEK] 2025

Welcome to PHP Tek 2025 where we combine leadership, expertise, and networking in one event.

@eric @phparch That's not a bad idea. Give you all some insight into what things are like in the Meth lab.
