Following up on my previous thoughts. If the USA controls NVIDIAs ability to ship GPUs then it would seem that you go along with the USA government or you are no longer in the AI business
@Techaltar With the current Claude DoD dispute. What options do Anthropic have if they are forced to comply by US Law (defence production act). Close down the company/ Stop Trading in US etc.
@Techaltar with proton mail launching their sheets app recently does this have the potential to replace O365/GCloud for companies that wish to move their services away from US tech companies.
Did a double take thinking @techaltar.mas.to.ap.brid.gy had released an album

Unihertz Titan 2 smartphone with a physical keyboard is heading to Kickstarter in June. No word on the specs, but it looks a lot like a BlackBerry Passport clone with a square screen and a small, wide keyboard. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Unihertz-Titan-2-New-Android-smartphone-with-BlackBerry-like-keyboard.1023892.0.html #UnihertzTitan2 #Smartphones #Crowdfunding #Unihertz #BlackBerryPassport #BlackBerry

@Techaltar for the friday question. With most large cloud computing providers being American based, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud. Is there any European competitors that have the same scale and may remain out of the reach of the US government.
@Techaltar for linux as a windows user I found popos! And fedora to be the simplest to get used to and both allow dual booting. However write down your bitlocker recovery key for windows (stored in your windows account at account.microsoft.com) or turn off bitlocker. You may have to turn off secureboot as well. Gimp is a good image editor for linux. Blender and davinci resolve are both on linux.
@Techaltar do you think that neural interfaces will see rapid advances over the next decade and perhaps mass adoption replacing smart devices or will they be relegated to the medical industry for the short - long term

@Techaltar i seem to remember consolidation in the food delivery market was a prediction from a few years back.

Uber, DoorDash and similar firms can’t defy the laws of capitalism after all
