@paulrickards Yes this is such a great project! I have one coming to me from a fellow on LisaList2 who did a bulk order. Chose the "internal" version for my 2/10.
@gmc Always a gamble on that - the Magic Link has a mix of surface mount and small through-hole caps that I was not particularly looking forward to replacing. Think I’ll leave it for now, as all components (backlight, LCD, speaker, touch) are working perfectly.

Netatalk 4.1.0 has been released, and is now for the first time also available as a Homebrew formula.

Get it with `brew install netatalk` today!

This version of the open source AFP server is the best yet for running on macOS. We now store resource forks natively as Extended Attributes, and is able to sync with FinderInfo metadata.

For instance, you can extract a StuffIt archive containing Classic Mac OS files, using the Unarchiver, onto a shared AFP volume, and have the resource forks carry over seamlessly.

Enjoy Mac file sharing!

The fact that the General Magic GMB001 battery is just a Sony NP-5x0 is what enables miracles like this:
TFW you disassemble a Sony Magic Link PIC-2000 to recap it and it suddenly starts working. #retrocomputing
@paulrickards Interesting! Wonder if was the senders or the receivers?

@paulrickards Some neat person uploaded the 1994 and 1995 Radius Support CD-ROMs here:

…however 2.1 is the latest on both. You might try the “SuperView” software on the 1995 disc, as by that time Radius had bought SuperMac and I think they made an identical SCSI video card product?

Replacing the thermal paste on the 8150/110 was the right call.
@vxo @paulrickards I shall sing you the song of my people
@paulrickards One often-overlooked place to check is old AppleLink CDs, which mirrored the contents of that (long-gone) online service. The most recent CD I have is July 1993, which unfortunately only has 2.1:
