I rant about my love for hacking, Linux, engineering, science and cars & driving. Also PTP techie for many years.
It’s stupid hat day at work. Happy graduation to all the students who didn’t follow me on birdsite let alone here. I am currently in the basement of the Royal Albert Hall edging myself with enough water not to wilt under the stage lights, but not so much that I piss myself under the stage lights.
It’s amazing to me that a proposal to scan *literally ever private communication in Europe* is barely making newspapers, and we’re reading about legislative progress on blogs.

How did the hackers get away from the crime scene?

They just ransomware.

Security theater, example 559281.

(Thank God I'm not planning to use it as a security device)

Why are you stressing about arbitrary code execution vulnerabilities in #curl ? You were just going to pipe the output to sh anyway.

Try as I might... I cannot see this as a good idea :

But perhaps almost more concerning :

etc.

Has anyone had good experiences with Prusa @prusa3D support?

Been trying to chase a fault in my printer for several weeks now and they are taking ages to respond to email! And I mean 2-3wk the first time I tried.

Web chat is ok but more limited and there is no follow up through multiple sessions... Been told to email... It's been 4 days now, will it take this long between each interaction??

@ianbetteridge there have been noticeable improvements in the UI, some usability wise, some more technical like better management of variable DPI and large resolutions, etc. Native AV has surfaced as a good solution too.

But, maybe defender aside, nothing that would make upgrading a must.

@ianbetteridge Windows 8? Sorry not sure what you are talking about :-p
