Oh look another Twix alternative that doesn't seem to have gained any traction
Imposter syndrome

‘I tried imposter syndrome but I couldn’t really pull it off.’

Realised I've never shared Napoleon the feral kitty's story here, so here we go.

This is Napoleon, and this is the story of his nine-month journey from a hungry, desperate feral street cat to snuggly duvet monster. /1 🧵 #cats

Twitter is just fully into its gaslighting era

A tiny fraction of Twitter users use third-party apps. So put yourself in the shoes of a bean counter…

"We can't serve ads. We can't sell a subscription. The API costs money. If we kill the clients we lose a few users, but some will stick around."

It makes sense on a spreadsheet, but misses the users' value. They produce the content that brings you to Twitter.

Killing clients is exactly what you expect from people who just don't get social networks, and too arrogant to listen to those who do.

You've all heard of Elf on the Shelf, but in Canada we have:
There's been many things said and written about Doddie Weir, but the thing that's made me chuckle most this morning is the memory of Bill McLaren speaking his name.

I’m an illustrator and occasional writer. My PhD was on the role of landscape and memory in the British cemeteries of #ww1. I’ve written and acted as a consultant on memorial architecture relating to the Great War and interwar pilgrimage.

My #illustrations focus on the small stories of individuals that happened in the expanse of the Great Wars. Currently you can see my illustrations in a new #exhibition at Talbot House in Poperinge, Belgium.
