Slightly burnt, slightly wonky #GlutenFree scone. But I made it, and it's so tasty. Struggling to leave some for Rachel when she gets home :)

For my birthday just over a year ago, my wife and daughter got me two cherry trees to plant in the #garden of our new house. It meant a lot to me because we'd always rented and struggled and been unable to do much with our gardens as a result, until we finally got this place (at the age of flippin' 46) about 18 months ago.

I was a bit sad by autumn because they did not look well and I thought they might not survive the winter.

For my birthday at the end of March this year, they did this :)

#exhibition down.

A blank wall where once there was a series of images. Feeling weirdly profoundly sad that it's over despite the, at times, high levels of stress experienced in the run up and during.

It was well worth it and I feel like I've made some lifelong friends through doing it. It was a big stepping stone towards where I want to be.

Tomorrow I start swinging my other leg towards the next stepping stone ;)

Haircut achieved.

This is my other favourite Bridges cafe. Not as cosy but a lot more bustling abs arguably a more spectacular view.

And this is the view out of the windows.

One of my fave cafés. I used to come here when I was working on my Forth Bridges project to warm up after freezing my fingers off with the camera.

It's been years now since that project ended but I still come here regularly.

So I'm going to sit here and read and drink lattes until it's time to get my haircut.

I didn't get my fog walk done this morning as the fog had moved across the water by the time I got out, but this literally brightened up my day when I saw it.

I love that point every year where the I first notice the snowdrops coming out. Then I know that even though winter will likely do its worst in the trickster months ahead, it will also come to an end.

Snowdrops are lightbringers.

Crossing my bridge on the way to Edinburgh. Meeting some of the other fine art photographers that I'm exhibiting with in March.

The deadline has come up way way way quicker than I imagined it would. I'm going to have to push through my instinct to hibernate to get all this done.

That's not a bad thing I guess, but daunting. 5-6 weeks to get it printed and framed. If I even frame them. Still haven't decided. =/

Book 2 of my #52books #bookbinding challenge. It's a variation that I'd skipped initially but I quite like the stitching pattern.

I changed it slightly from the way the book tells you to do it. It worked quite well and I've got a bit more confidence in the prices as a result.

I can alter things and make it work essentially.
