A community driven project offering ARM and RISC-V devices to FOSS enthusiasts worldwide.

Disclaimer: This is not a PineStore LTD support channel.

Thanks to everyone who came to visit our stand at #fosdem . We showed off a couple of new devices this year like the PineVoice home assistant speaker and the new PineTime Pro prototype. A lot of the discussion topics we had at FOSDEM will make it into a new community blog post. Including what this year will look like considering DRAM prices.

We had a lot of fun meeting you all, safe travels everyone!

#fosdem2026 PINE64 Community dinner. See you at FOSDEM this weekend!

Users Tux_Linux and Szybet have been working on a new firmware for the PineNote called QuillOS, it uses hrdl's kernel tree along with a custom user interface built on the Niri tiling window manager. It's currently still in development which you can follow the progress of in their Discord server (https://discord.gg/WbB9ZFYNRG).

There is an additional demonstration on YouTube for those interested.

Fishy fishy

Community member hrdl has released an Arch based image which includes their new display driver. Overall responsiveness has significantly increased since the last demo. The setup uses a sway config that allows brightness and display modes to be changed quickly.

PineNote users can find the image and instructions at their sourcehut repo

Quick update:
There was a miscommunication concerning the future of ARM devices in the recent Mastodon post announcing the discontinuation of the PinePhone Pro.

New devices from PineStore will continue to come with ARM SOCs and will not be going away in favor of RISC-V models. Devices will continue releasing with variations like the PineTab2 and PineTab-V.

This should have been communicated earlier so we apologize.

Have a great weekend!
