Read through my timeline of the last 12ish hours and it was a delightful mixture of jokes, random little stories, cat/dog pics and lovely instance admins begging us to bear with them whilst they are trying to deal with the huge influx of new people.
No ads, no trolls, no algorithm.
Where is the catch? There has to be a catch, right? RIGHT?!

It's been a real busy day and I think most of you on mstdn.social has noticed we are almost an hour behind on the timelines..

Past night around 11K new people joined mstdn.social via invite links and this was a little too much to handle

So instead of running in circles, I have setup another public #Mastodon instance with the same rules as on mstdn.

To lighten the load on mstdn, perhaps some would care to migrate to the new instance?
