AIP Publishing's portfolio strategy team is looking for creative, team-working, physics-loving individuals to take care of and develop a journal portfolio at the service of the scientific community
Citation metrics can be gamed, and mathematicians are very good at games 😉. But mostly, citations are a perfect proxy for research impact
Clarivate excludes the *entire field of math* from influential researcher lists for widespread citation manipulation

#Kudos to the IOP for coming up with this unique and welcome support of #openscience, donating APC revenue from retracted papers to Research4Life to help provide global research access to more than 11,500 institutions in lower- and middle-income countries
#openaccess is about equity & accessibility but the APC author(or proxy)-pay model does not work for all.
"Subscribe to Open" offers a pragmatic funding model for #OA that does not pass through author's pockets. AIPP is the largest STEM publisher to pilot it, yet.

Hello 👋🏻. Took a long break from hanging out here but I was busy changing jobs twice in the past 4 months.
Anyhow, after 15 wonderful years at WILEY it's time for a new adventure. I've joined AIPP to lead their portfolio strategy team.... which puts in charge, among other things, of *giggle giggle* JCP.
