i love the craft of software;
i loathe the software industry.
agpl3+ forever but not an rms fan.

ohh if i'm willing to accept non-integer radii and very small deviations, circles with radii math.sqrt(9425) (about 97.0) and math.sqrt(5425) (about 74.3) both have 48 integer-valued coordinate point intersections

wait there’s a new zachtronics game?? (kaizen: a factory story)

okay uhhh β€œcoincidence games” not zachtronics but still zach?? looks kinda like Spacechem where you place machines to put parts together from a first glance

the idea is, you lead several replyguys into a conversation that includes only replyguys but with enough of them that they all unknowingly reply only at each other in isolation

this might just be orange website, assuming that is still a thing

if you're building minimal-size svg diagrams by hand and want to know which circles of 1- or 2-digit integer radii intersect the most integer-valued coordinates,

the answer is r=65 and r=85, each with 8 points per quadrant for a total of 32 points intersected

r=65 seems a bit more evenly-distributed

Well, it's like I always say: I never claim to be consistent

 ant mill but for replyguys

yesterday I was in the wegmans checkout and the nice cashier woman looked at my baby metal shirt with foxes on it and asked "is that a firefox shirt?" and I said no but firefox is cool I still use it. it's not every day that someone in the grocery store talks to you about firefox. then she excitedly said "you know what I just started using? chatgpt! it's so good at writing for me!"

i was surprised to recently realize that despite the number of bicycle and public transit users here, bus-mounted bike carriers like i see in the usa aren't really a thing here. a bike is a vehicle, like a car. you either bike to a place, or drive a car, or walk+bus+train. the ubiquitous train stations have parking lots for bicycles so you can bike to the station and leave it there

imagine bike racks on buses being indicative of the inadequacy of the system

there is a coffeeshop nearby called "birth coffee." the πŸ…±οΈ in their logo is visibly pregnant. it's just a coffee shop doing normal coffee shop stuff and there's nothing on their website about maternity or childbirth or anything. idgi
also going to break up my existing tiddlywiki5 into multiple separate tiddlypwa's. having to transfer the entire tiddlywiki5 to my mobile device on a spotty lte connection on the other side of the world just to edit a page is not just slow but sometimes totally unusable (timeouts, i think)

@vyr the blanket matches the cat! or maybe that is a very strange chameleon
@pho4cexa i was foolish enough to buy a blanket nearly the same color as the cat, which has become beloved by the cat. it is now forbidden to flop down on that blanket without checking carefully for the cat first
