Note that this is not about placing two terminals next to each other. This task is already solved by tiling window managers, screen, tmux and splitvt. What tcvt does is create a single very tall [single] terminal [that spans] two columns.
i made the mistake of purchasing an hp laser printer a while back, and it has the bullshit drm that forces you to use hp toner for which there was a legal settlement
my current firmware seems to allow me to simply disable the drm?? so i was content to let it never update. using an off-brand cartridge in there now.
but the printer falls off the wifi when it goes to sleep and won't get back on without a power cycle
do i risk updating the fw?
