If you know someone in real life who has signed up on here too, the most reliable way to find each other's profile on here is to exchange addresses. (Think of it like exchanging phone numbers!)

Each account on here has a unique address which is visible under the profile name. It looks something like this:

@ user @ server

If you paste this address into the search box on the app or website, it will make that account's profile appear.

You have to give the full address, not just the first part.
