It is true. But it’s not the same “handful of people” for everybody. https://twitter.com/MollyJongFast/status/1587556857513746434

It’s starting to seem as though Twitter has a fact-checking department dedicated to “correcting” tweets about the new owner. I’ve seen three today.

RT @[email protected]

Look at what Twitter has added to this @[email protected] tweet. “Mr. Musk has, without details or explanation, personally denied this part of the story.”

The crazy thing is, I would happily have paid a subscription fee to use this platform the way I want: No ads; no promoted content; no hate-mongering or abuse; just the ongoing feed from people I follow.

The blue check has no value. The idea of “lords and peasants” is vile.

I hear people saying Musk is a good manager of people. Here’s one data point.

RT @[email protected]

Looking forward to the future on Thursday. Resigned on Friday.

The new owner says if you don’t have a blue check mark you are a peasant. Would you like to be a lord? You can! Just $8 a month.

RT @[email protected]

Twitter’s current lords & peasants system for who has or doesn’t have a blue checkmark is bullshit.

Power to the people! Blue for $8/month.

This paper presents the construction and some properties of the Kochawave curve, a simple and asymmetrical variant of the Koch curve.

“This Court is not what we have recognized for 75 years as a legal institution … It seems to be grasping for unchallenged control of American politics and government.”

If you read one piece about the Supreme Court this year, make it this one.

RT @[email protected]

Trump and the Republicans lashed the Supreme Court to party politics. But Trump was also calling into question the legitimacy of any court that defied the conservative legal movement—or, for that matter, Trump himself. https://washingtonmonthly.com/2022/10/30/the-courts-third-great-crisis/

The Court’s Third Great Crisis

Twice before in history, the Supreme Court has allowed itself to become an arm of one political party, with catastrophic results. Only the voters can save us from the same fate today.

Do it now.

Glad @[email protected] is embracing a tax on Big Oil's exorbitant profits.

I've introduced the bill to make that happen - and to immediately lower prices at the gas pump.

Working families need relief far more than Big Oil's shareholders need payouts. Congress should take this up ASAP.

Will prosecutors ask Weisselberg whether Trump personally approved the tax cheating and falsification of records? He can’t refuse to answer now.

Rent-free apartments, leased Mercedes-Benzes and private school tuition for relatives are some of the perks the Trump Organization doled out to some of its top executives without withholding taxes or reporting the income to authorities, prosecutors say. https://nyti.ms/3STz5nQ
