News of the day: Redis, a proprietary software company, decides to no longer release their software under an open source license and switch to restrictive licensing.

Of course, they once promised it would always be released under an open source license, received contributions and acquired users based on that now-broken promise.

Apply extra care when looking at single-vendor open source software! It's a proprietary model with a relicensing timebomb built in.
