What the fuck is this shit

@marcoarment you may also want to consider Balega “Blister Resist” socks. They’re a bit thicker and your feet may sweat (a little!), but they’re my go-to running socks and I’m sure they’d perform well on a (very) long walk.

I wore them for my marathon last fall and finished with slightly damp feet but, best of all, no blisters!

@siracusa I’m listening to the latest episode of ATP. As you speak about the inlaid Apple logos on MacBook lids, I’m wondering if you’re actually thinking about the iPhone 5 intro video (where Ive explains how they used high powered cameras to determine which glass cutouts best fit the inlay of the device body)? You’ll see it at the 5:30 mark in this video https://youtu.be/Nvqvialze1M?si=lqYkEBFSyvsAIQ4n

@marcoarment Jessica Crabb did a ton of the UI/UX work for the MTA Train Time app (as well as digital MTA signage). She was a great follow on Twitter a few years ago when she posted more frequently (about design). And, surprise surprise—she’s a human interface designer at Apple now https://x.com/jessicaanncrabb?s=21

@jsnell Hey Jason, are you able to share that Shortcut/automation you mentioned on the Talk Show (the one that automatically converts .webp files on the desktop?

It’s shortcuts like these I knew would be helpful but just can’t seem to think to create!

@imyke hey Myke, I’m looking at the @studioneat Mark One and was wondering your thoughts on aluminum vs steel? There’s very few comparisons online, but some noted that the aluminum model’s knock may rattle of so slightly.

Any thoughts or insight is welcomed!

@siracusa hey John, can you share the info for the guy you had repair your original HomePod? I recall over the summer an episode of ATP in which you had one repaired.

My OG HomePod seems to have lost its base and I’m interested in having it serviced.

@jsnell from listening to Upgrade, I have no doubts that you’re far more of a tea connoisseur than I. But, I thought I’d share this in case you were interested.

Admittedly, my judgement for good or bad tea is on par with the general public. But, I do find this company to make some very tasty teas!

@atpfm follow up regarding Apple’s “last minute” decisions on naming the iPhone Air During The Talk Show live @ WWDC23, Mike Rockwell said he himself didn’t know the marketing name “Vision Pro” until they began filming the keynote, assumedly no more than two months out from WWDC itself.
@siracusa battery pack does indeed have a USB-C port!
