@1password What’s going on with 1Password’s memory usage. The main window isn’t even open.

On or around 14 Jan, Garmin Connect made a dramatic improvement to it’s Health Kit integration. Prior to 14 Jan it was so bad that I’d turned off most of its write permissions.

Now:

- Recorded weights now have the correct time
- HR is updated every few minutes
- Active Energy is no longer a single data point updated only at 23:59

It’s still not as complete as Rungap’s HK data (Rungap writes map routes and splits), but at least it’s now usable.

Of 5 articles viewed on Artifact, only one took me to an article I could read. Everything else was covered by a cookie notice or an advert. It just reminded me how reading on the web without content blockers is a miserable experience.
One of my favourite apps @foodnoms Helps me track my calorific needs and that I’m eating sufficient carbs. It looks great and syncs with Apple Health.

It seems like enabling most of 1Blocker’s content blockers resulted in an additional ~6sec of latency added to each page render on macOS Safari 😱

I’ve kept just one content blocker, Block Ads. That’s removed the majority of latency and brought page rendering to be comparable to Firefox’s.

Cool. Just noticed Mastadon has support for 2FA security keys. Which means 2FA with Touch ID or Face ID on Apple devices.
Only the second time I’ve raced in spikes. They took a battering during yesterday’s frozen XC race. I didn’t expect the ground to be frozen solid. It made for an uncomfortable run. In hindsight 9mm was too long. #running
New shoes day. Another pair of Novablast 3s. These have the perfect balance of comfort, lightness, cushioning, and speed. The perfect daily. And they look great too. #running

Ran a good 5k last night. 7 secs from a PB. Saucony Endorphins Pro instead of my Flyknits. They worked well. I think next time I’ll use pace alerts to make sure I don’t back off. #running
