Also, Gemini > Siri and it's not even close.

One week into living with Android and can say with absolute certainty that I don't miss the iPhone.

Apple does ecosystem better than everyone and would it be nice for me to be able to Airplay to my Apple TV? Yes. But that's really my only quible.

Otherwise, the S25 Ultra has processor, memory, screen, and camera for days.

WearOS does have a long way to go to be on parity with WatchOS but in terms of the handset, it's basically apples to apples now.

Best Mastodon client on Android? Tusky, IMHO.

After what's seemingly been an unending line of bad design, bad execution, and bad pipeline, combined with continued public displays of boot licking led me to give up my iPhone for the first time in 16 years.

Might be back someday when it's leadership isn't sucking up to fascists.

So what are everyone’s excuses for Tim Cook’s behavior this time?

Wake up. He’s an overt Trump supporter, and has been the entire time.

New data: US counties that border Canada account for only 1.2% of the fentanyl powder and just 0.5% of the fentanyl pills obtained in large seizures. Bottom line: fentanyl isn't coming in from Canada, despite Trump's lies.

Findings of study on how illegally manufactured fentanyl enters U.S. contradict common assumptions, undermining efforts to control supply

In a new analysis, researchers developed an index to compare U.S. counties’ proportion of large seizures against their proportion of the national population. Their findings counter some assumptions about the origins of and routes into the United States of illegally manufactured fentanyl.

EurekAlert!

2. Brad Lander
3. Michael Blake
4. Zellnor Myrie
5. Adrienne Adams

Driving the new ZR1 at the Circuit of the Americas, on the full Grand Prix circuit, was a life changing experience. Full impressions here on @theverge

And if you're so inclined, I made a video of the experience too. That's up on my channel now: https://youtu.be/_vPJtM_Zyvg

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 first drive: hype meets hyperspeed

The Chevy Corvette ZR1 is the eighth generation of the iconic sports car. Driving it is like trying to pilot a missile.

This is indicative of a much deeper issue at Apple which is that they suck as a software company. It’s been their worst kept secret for 20 years. With the exception of a few OS releases, Apple routinely sucks at software. Music, Maps, Mail, Apple Intelligence, iOS 11, Siri - they’re all substandard when compared to Spotify, Google Maps, Outlook, Gemini.
